- as required Dal), Brown Lentils (Kali Masoor Dal),Chickpeas Lentils (Chan
- 1 Dal),Black Gram Dal(Urad Dal)
- Soaked for 1 hour
- 1/2 Cup Rice *Soaked for 1 hour
- 1 Cup Oil
- 2/3 cup Fried Onions
- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 Chicken Cube
- 2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Tbsp Green Chilli Paste
- 1 Tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Tsp Turmeric (for Mutton)
- 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder for (Lentils)
- 1 Tsp Ginger Powder
- 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
- as per taste Salt
Instructions to make to make Mutton KHICHDA Recipe
- In a Pressure Cooker add Pulses, Rice,1/2Tsp Turmeric Powder and Salt to taste
- Put on the lid and Pressure cook it on High Flame till 1 Whistle, then cook on low flame for 20mins
- When all Pressure is released, Open the lid and Mash the roughly by adding little Water
- Transfer it to Large Pot
- In another Pressure Cooker, add Barley, Dalia,1/2Tsp Turmeric Powder and Salt to taste
- Put on the lid and Pressure Cook it on High Flame till 1 Whistle, then cook on low flame for 20mins
- When all Pressure is released, Open the lid and blend it Coarsely in blender by adding little Water
- Transfer it to Pot of Pulses
- Add Oil in a Pressure Cooker, when it is hot,add Mutton and Let it sear on High Flame
- When Mutton Seared,add Ginger,Garlic and Green Chilli Paste,Cook it for 5mins
- Remove 1Tsp of Garam Masala Powder from Spices and add all Spices
- Cook it by adding little Water,till Oil separates
- Add Fried Onions and Chicken Cube,cook for further 2-3mins
- Add Yogurt and cook till Oil separates
- Add a Glass of Water, Salt to taste,Put on the lid and Pressure cook it on High Flame till 1 Whistle, then cook on low flame for 15mins
- When all Pressure is released, Open the lid and Transfer it to Cereals and Pulses Pot
- Mix them and Add Water to adjust Consistency
- Add 1Tsp Garam Masala Powder and Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Cook them on High Flame till it Boils, Stirring intermittently;then cook on low flame for 15mins
- Remove it in Serving Dish, Pour Hot Ghee on top of it
- Serve it with Fried Onions, Lemon and Ghee
