Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Gujarati Dhokla:

  1. 1 cup Rice
  2. 1/2 cup chana dal
  3. 1/4 cup tuar dal
  4. 2-3 TSP urad dal
  5. to taste Salt
  6. 2 tsp Green chilli paste
  7. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  8. As needed Oil for grease plate
  9. 1 cup Curd
  10. as needed Water
  11. 1 TSP Eno fruit salt

Steps to make to make Gujarati Dhokla

  1. First we take container and add rice, chana dal, toor dal, udad dal mix all and wash it properly 3-4 time after that add water propery and soak that mixture and keep that for 7-8 hours or you can put aside for whole night.
  2. Once that mixture is socked properly then we have to blend it in mixer jar along with some water and curd and make batter with thik consistency.
  3. After that we have to wait for fermentation for 7-8 hours.
  4. After fermentation you mix it well and add salt, green chilli paste and Ginger garlic paste..and mix it well.
  5. After that take idli cooker/steamer and add water and then preheat for 3-4 mins
  6. After that grease the plate and add dhokla batter in that plate and sprinkle red chilli powder/black pepper powder on it.
  7. Now put the plate in idli cooker/steemer for 15-20 minute after that we can check with the help of knife.. if knife is clean that menas Dhokla is baked completely.. so now our tasty dhokla is ready to serve.
